explanation of types of animation 👇👇👇

I explained in the previous article that there are several types of animation.

So I will explain one by one starting from the beginning

A. 2D animation

A few years ago when you thought of animation, traditional, hand-drawn 2-dimensional animation was probably the first thing that came to mind.  Until finally, Disney films and cartoons began to use 2D animation created through the use of software.  2D animation is a type of animation in two dimensions, meaning that a 2D animator creates images and characters in a two-dimensional format and animates them with movement.  This type of animation is considered a traditional form of animation with plain characters, no volume, and only moving up, down, left and right.

Examples of 2D animation can be found in cartoon series that you often watched as a child, such as cartoons Mickey Mouse, Tom & Jerry, Doraemon, or Spongebob Squarepants.  One of the newest 2D animations created by the nation's children is Si Juki The Movie which is inspired by popular comics from Indonesia.

B. Infographics

Infographic animation is a way of visualizing information using a combination of imagery, illustrations, charts, graphs, text and other elements that are animated to add movement.  Infographic animation is a step up from ordinary presentations which are often used to explain concepts, ideas or steps simply.  Like animating PowerPoint slides, animated infographics are a great way to grab your audience's attention.

C. Stop Motion

Stop motion animation is created by taking a photo of one object, then moving the object slightly and taking another photo.  Repeat this process over and over then play back the photo stream sequentially to give the illusion of movement.  When the recording is played back quickly, the captured image creates the illusion that it is moving

D. Motion Graphics

F. 3D Animation

If you are a fan of Pixar and Disney films, such as Toy Story, Up, or Frozen then you are familiar with 3D animated works.  3D animation is the art of creating moving images in 3-dimensional digital space.  Through manipulating objects or 3D models in a software to process and create animations, animators sequence images that will give the illusion of movement.

3D animation will look very realistic and all the processing is done on the computer.  The process of creating 3D animation can generally be divided into three stages, namely modelling, layout and animation, and rendering.  Modeling is the process of creating 3D objects in a scene on a computer.  Layout and animation is the process of positioning objects and making 3D objects move.  Then the next process is rendering, which is processing all the data in the previous process into a final result.
